OVERVIEW

JISC Digital Media provides expert advice and guidance to the UK Further and Higher education communities on the management of digital media, in particular:

  • Creating digital media resources (still and moving images and sound resources)
  • Delivering digital media resources to users
  • Using digital media resources to support teaching, learning and research
  • Managing both small and large scale digitisation projects

Case studies

Case studies form an important element of the service and illustrate how different projects and services have approached the range of digital media in delivering and managing their content, lessons learned along the way and descriptions of particular processes. As well as case studies for each of the still image, moving image and sound categories, a synthesis of lessons learned in managing digitisation projects is also available. As well as hints and tips for each stage of a project, it also includes links to further case studies and other sources of advice.
