OVERVIEW

Impact analysis is a process which does two things:

  • At the business planning stage, it is in essence a risk analysis which identifies what is critical to the project's sustainability and which identifies threats, assesses the likelihood of those threats occurring, and the impact of each of those threats on the project. The business plan will then set out how the risks will be addressed.
  • As part of ongoing evaluation (both formative and summative), analysis of both qualitative and quantitative data will identify both positive and negative impact on the intended audience for the content and thus inform future planning.
