OVERVIEW
The NHS National Library of Health, now known as NHS Evidence, is an information and knowledge service aimed at health and social care staff and, to a lesser extent, patients. Its online presence acts as a portal to reliable resources emanating from the NHS itself and from trusted external sources. These range from voluntary sector health organisations and self help groups to the BBC Health website.
Taken from the NHS National Library of Health website:
"The National Library for Health (NLH) is a modern, integrated, hybrid service that aims to be 'the best, most trusted health related knowledge service in the world'. It comprises NHS funded services across the country and, a digital hub, plus commissioned information services and products.
High quality health care requires that knowledge services are available to all who have a legitimate interest in supporting the delivery of health and social care to patients and the public."
